The foliage around Sloquet Creek was already starting to look Autumnish (is now a word, thank-you) and the way the sunlight reflected off the water made me wish for a variable ND filter.
(Check, yup, got one now).
If you haven't made the journey to Sloquet Hot Springs you should definitely plan for it - it's a long drive (unless you live in Pemberton) but definitely worth it.
Heads up however, there is a charge to visit, $10/person for day use. What? Yup. It's a fact.

All in all however, a great experience to visit here and find the EarthCache, and traditional caches nearby. I'll tell you all about it sometime. 😊

There's an enormous backlog of content and ideas I've got to work through to bring you all some more fun #geocaching #travel #adventures but the stars haven't been aligning lately - until today. I've had a complete day to myself which up to now has been highly unusual this year. So with that time I've gone to start curating some content, organizing my numerous notes, and getting better organized to share with all of you what we've seen, learned, and enjoyed this year and late last year.

Frankly, I've been nearly overwhelmed with the backlog, so having a day to pace it out, lay out all the ideas, notes, and pics has been fantastic, and I'm so thankful for this opportunity. And hey, if I can do it with the laptop & notebooks at #tradingpost then why not?

Today in #geocaching 🌟⭐📸

This past weekend we enjoyed an amazing Jeep-o-Caching #adventure with friends as we explored up the west side of Harrison Lake along the Sts'alles FSR, and took in the breath-taking night sky together on the beach.

The first night we camped at a @4wdabc rec site, met some great #4x4 driving adventurers, and had an awesome evening of stargazing, chatting, and laughing. This is the kind of night that makes living in @thefraservalley so special!

I've just started looking at the photos and video I took on this 3 day adventure, and look forward to sharing more with you soon. In the meantime, we hope everyone is enjoying their summer #adventures whether you #gogeocaching or find some other great way to #getoutside

It's been an amazing adventure so far, including my first foray into proper nightsky photography and I'm super excited to share more from this adventure in our channels coming soon.

The purpose of this trip was an overlanding route to fill in map squares for a tricky #geocaching challenge with friends. An awesome way to spend a weekend!

We enjoyed a beautiful long-weekend morning walk with friends to enjoy the Alouette River and find some geocaches hidden along the trail system before the day heated up.

The views toward the Golden Ears #mountains in #thefraservalley are always worth stopping to admire, from whatever vantage point you may have. First thing in the morning the river was already busy with kayaks and paddleboards as others also wanted to enjoy the serenity of the morning on the water.

The #geocaches were all in great shape which adds a nice bonus to the outing, but the best part was time out along the trails with friends.

Not only did we wrap up the July #wheelofchallenges but we did it "with flair" but descending a kilometer down a steep trail picking up some rarely found #geocaches along the way!

Enjoyed a beautiful walk along the Pitt River in search of #geocaches and opportunities to use the camera. 📷😊

A nice variety of hides, and almost always a step out of the sunshine and into the shade for a moment to cool down. Although there was a pretty steady breeze out there today and temps stayed around 24C making it much nicer to be out for the 5km or so walk.

So we're down to one more day left in the #wheelofchallenges for July. Did you try for the 28 days in a row challenge?

Today in #geocaching ❤️🌞
A beautiful evening mid-week to be out for a walk in @thefraservalley as we explored the trails in North Langley along Nathan Creek.

A series of fun #geocache hides, but more importantly, a quiet and peaceful time out together. The rain had finally stopped earlier this week so we took the gift and got out for a drive and a walk.

Sometimes my brain is just boggled at the amazing colours around us where we live - the greens, blues, and so many shades in between. It was also a great opportunity to continue to learn how to use the new camera.

OK, the bugs I could do without 🦟🪰🦟🪰 but Ontario can do beautiful sunsets for sure.

We are continuing to work our way through the Highlands Howler GeoArt and the GCC GeoTour in the East Highlands of Ontario.
It's tough to get content together and shared while we are on the road, but once we are home again we'll be able to start getting all the amazing content we've been curating this year - from around the world - together to share with you all.
